Milan, 5 February 2026 – Prada Group and Versace announce the appointment of Pieter Mulier as Chief Creative Officer, effective July 1, 2026. This appointment marks the start of a new chapter for the House.
Throughout his career, Pieter Mulier has forged a singular aesthetic vision, having contributed to the creative success of Raf Simons, Jil Sander, Dior and Calvin Klein, and currently serving as Creative Director of Alaïa. He will report directly to Lorenzo Bertelli, Executive Chairman of Versace.
“When we began evaluating the acquisition of Versace, we identified Pieter Mulier as the right creative leader for the brand. We believe he will unlock Versace’s full creative potential and establish a rich, dynamic dialogue with the house’s iconic heritage. We are thrilled to embark on this new journey together,” said Lorenzo Bertelli, Executive Chairman of Versace.
Mulier joins Versace from Alaïa in Paris, where his sculptural, minimalist silhouettes earned widespread critical acclaim and delivered strong commercial growth. The hire represents the first major creative leadership reshuffle since Prada Group completed the €1.25 billion acquisition of Versace in December 2025.
The brand confirms Pieter Mulier will present his debut full ready-to-wear collection for Versace at the Milan Fashion Week taking place in the second half of 2026, blending his signature sculptural minimalism with Versace’s bold, iconic identity.
